Founded in 2021 by a collective of alpine guides, landscape photojournalists, and conservation volunteers, Neonspectra began with a notebook and a frustration with generic, repetitive travel lists that misrepresent the rugged nature of New Zealand's back-country.
Weather here changes within twenty minutes. Unprepared travelers regularly find themselves stranded without cell reception, adequate thermal layers, or certified huts. We built this platform to publish candid, unfiltered logistical blueprints that empower people to travel safely, tread lightly, and connect profoundly with the land.
